Brandon D. Smith, Esq.
Attorney Brandon Smith zealously represents personal injury victims as one of the Firm’s lead litigators and trial attorneys. Brandon’s personal injury areas of practice include wrongful death, ultra-hazardous equipment, premises liability, automobile, slip-and-fall, bicycle/pedestrian accidents, public transportation, dog bites, boating accidents, truck accidents, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and maritime-related injuries. Brandon has also represented clients in contract disputes, realtor commission disputes, import-export disputes, immigration, construction defect, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant, condominium, home owners’ association disputes, and foreclosure disputes. Brandon prides himself on never settling for less than his clients deserve, and he is not afraid to take cases from the beginning all the way to trial to get the necessary results for his clients.
Brandon is a native of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, with a degree in Chinese Language and Political Science. Brandon received his J.D. from Florida International University College of Law, where he developed his passion for jury trials and honed his craft as a story-teller as a member of the FIU Law Trial Team.
Prior to joining the Firm, Brandon worked in the fields of immigration, contract, and administrative law for a prominent firm in Miami, Florida, where he used his Mandarin Chinese knowledge to communicate with clients from China and Taiwan, and assisted in a $15-million dollar jury trial involving the import and export of street bikes from China to Brazil. Brandon previously lived in Tianjin, China, where he studied advanced Mandarin Chinese, and in Seville, Spain, where he studied criminal and real estate law.
In his spare time, Brandon enjoys judging law school Moot Court competitions, including volunteering as an en banc Appellate Judge for the FAU Harriet Wilkes Honors College and FIU College of Law. Brandon also enjoys lecturing on trial advocacy and volunteering with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, where he volunteers his time and legal services to indigent individuals in breach of contract defense and divorce cases.
